Casual Bombshell
Romantic Dramatic Natural
This is the super sexy and glam Romantic Dramatic bombshell aesthetic:
And this is the “casual bombshell” Romantic Dramatic Natural (RDN) aesthetic:
RDN is still super sexy, but unlike Romantic Dramatic, RDN fashion often feels laidback enough to wear with sneakers or even to the beach.
But sometimes, adding in Natural can actually make Romantic Dramatic fashion appear even more intense, like this Romantic Dramatic Natural dress:
How can Natural make an outfit appear more casual sometimes, and more dressed up at other times? We explore this below!

Romantic Dramatic Natural fashion
Romantic Dramatic Natural fashion exudes the glam intensity of Romantic Dramatic style while also embodying a relaxed Natural feel.
One way to create a Romantic Dramatic Natural look is to blend very dressy and very casual elements.
So you could wear a dress in a body-hugging Romantic Dramatic plunge-neck silhouette in a casual jersey (Natural) fabric.
Or a silky (Romantic) plunge-neck (Dramatic) dress in a mostly loose, relaxed (Natural) silhouette.
Why Natural can make fashion more casual or more intense
Another way to achieve a Romantic Dramatic Natural look is to recognize that Natural doesn’t just read as “casual.”
Like all seven style essences, the Natural essence embodies a variety of vibes.
One of those vibes is confidence. Natural faces have strong bone structure that can appear assertive and even powerful.
Natural bone structure is often wide, and so is Natural fashion. Just as confident people aren’t afraid to assert themselves and to figuratively take up space, Natural fashion isn’t afraid to literally take up space.
So because the Natural essence can appear extremely confident and assertive, you can actually use Natural to emphasize rather than downplay the intense vibe of Romantic Dramatic. You can do this by incorporating confident Natural elements such as wide silhouettes and very large prints:
So depending on how you incorporate Natural into RD fashion, the Romantic Dramatic Natural aesthetic can be a casual version of RD or an even more intense, show-stopping version of RD.
Romantic Dramatic Natural faces
What’s true of RDN fashion also seems true of RDN faces. On some faces, and to some viewers, blending the Romantic, Dramatic, and Natural essences may make Romantic Dramatic’s vibe (which can be intimidating to some) feel more down-to-earth, friendly, and approachable.
But sometimes on an RDN face, Natural’s strong bone structure and confident vibe can make the RDN vibe appear even stronger and more powerful.
What is true of all the style types is true of Romantic Dramatic Natural—in both fashion and faces, the types have so much range. No type embodies just one overall vibe.
What if you have more Dramatic and Natural than Romantic?
So far, this post has focused on what happens when you change Romantic Dramatic fashion by adding Natural.
This can be a helpful way to think about RDN, because the Romantic Dramatic bombshell aesthetic tends to be a highly recognizable style. This conceptualization is also especially helpful for people who have primarily the Romantic and Dramatic essences, because they can think of their style as adding a bit of Natural casualness to the RD bombshell aesthetic.
But if you have more Dramatic and Natural than Romantic, you might instead want to base your style around Dramatic Natural fashion, like chunky sweaters and long narrow jackets, and add in a bit of Romantic glamour, like with a high slit skirt in a shiny fabric:
What if you have more Romantic and Natural than Dramatic?
I haven’t yet made a post on Romantic Natural style, but its principles are similar to RDN in that you’ll want to focus on combining very glam and very casual elements, like combining relaxed-fit, light-wash, or even heavily-distressed Natural jeans with a strappy, silky, fitted Romantic scoop neck top.
You could then add Dramatic in smaller details, like bold geometric jewelry.
If you have primarily Romantic and Natural, it’s a very cool essence blend to style, because you get to merge opposite aesthetics while looking totally harmonious.
