Bombshell. Showstopper.

Romantic Dramatic

Romantic Dramatic looks like love. But not just any kind of love.

Passionate, intoxicating, fiery, all-consuming love.

Romantic Dramatics Solenn Heussaff, Lena Headey, Bianca Lawson, and Nicole Scherzinger.

The Romantic Dramatic face combines curvy, sensual Romantic shapes with intimidating, angular Dramatic shapes.

With the addition of powerful Dramatic, Romantic’s already passionate vibe escalates.

And Dramatic’s intimidating aura is simultaneously softened and intensified by deep Romantic feeling.

So Romantic Dramatic merges love with power.

Thoughts on making Romantic and Dramatic (and Ethereal and Classic) fashion more wearable for everyday life

The Romantic Dramatic Aesthetic

Romantic Dramatic fashion can embody many of the cliches of sexy—form-fitting, curve-emphasizing, shiny, revealing. But paired with a Romantic Dramatic face, these elements won’t appear cliche. They’ll look fresh and mesmerizing.

Sleek cocktail dresses, date night fashion meant for a fancy restaurant, the “bombshell” aesthetic—these all commonly have elements of Romantic and Dramatic.

Dramatic can do stark minimalism, but Romantic loves jewelry, and the Romantic Dramatic look tends to be enhanced by large, ornate jewels.

Black and red are iconic colors for both Romantic and Dramatic. The little black dress and little red dress are amazing for this type.

Like fashion and makeup, hair should be styled and sophisticated. Dramatic can do either long, sleek, and straight hair or a slicked back updo. Romantic can do either long, full, shiny blown out waves, a large round bun, or other styles that create volume at the crown.

While any style type can be harmonious in any hair color, many Romantic Dramatic celebrities dye or keep their hair dark. This may be because, as the wise saying goes, “blondes have more fun.” Sometimes there’s a degree of truth in dumb cliches, and the truth of this one is that dark hair may tend to read as more intense and serious than blonde. And Romantic Dramatic tends to feel intense and serious.

But Romantic Dramatics can be gorgeous in any hair color, including blonde. And the Romantic Dramatic vibe can be fun in its own way. Love, passion, and intensity can (sometimes) be the epitome of enjoyment.

Feared or loved?

I remember reading a Psychology Today article about the difference between “beautiful” and “sexy.” The article argued that beauty can feel cold—that someone can be so beautiful, they seem unapproachable.

Sexiness, the article argued, feels warmer and more approachable.

I don’t know if I agree with those definitions of beautiful and sexy, but it does seem true that certain types of beauty feel more intimidating than others.

We started with the premise that Romantic Dramatic looks like love. But for some people, seeing Romantic Dramatic faces may also evoke emotions like awe and fear.

We feel awe when we encounter something that seems beyond ordinary— something that seems so momentous, it shatters our current understanding of reality. An awe-inspiring experience can be disorienting, even terrifying.

Maybe Romantic Dramatics can be so beautiful, they can be kind of scary.

Their faces radiate sensuality and power. That can be intimidating.

But not to everyone. You can learn a lot about the style types, and about yourself, by looking at faces of a given type and observing the emotions the faces evoke in you.

The Romantic Dramatic can project awe-inspiring, overwhelming beauty. This beauty may trigger nerves for some people, but for others, it may evoke a purely positive, fearless response.
